With the agreement of the organization board, Mr. Manh – a VHV’s member proceeded a haircuts program for poor children in this trip. This practical program needed the craftsmanship of volunteers in using scissors. The idea had been received many possessive comments from others. Some of them had taken responsibilities for “golden scissors”

It was not only a volunteer trip to a remote area . The recruitment process was also special such as eating rice balls, sleeping in local clinic or People Committee office, using only VND 100,000 to buy food for 10 members, cooking with wood prepared by organization board or selling “a specific item”, etc…

This diverse and varied trip not only helps volunteers learn how to accomodate themselves to locals’ lives and also acquire useful knowledge like survival and adaptability skills in any conditions. Such an interesting and meaningful trip.
