A soft- skill training session took place on the theme of Teamwork and Leading a meeting on the 6th of December, at Travel House Coffee, District 1. This session was conducted by Ms. Vu Tran Ngoc Han who has spent 8 years working in multinational environments and 3 years working abroad on supply chain management .
During the training session, members of Volunteer House Vietnam (VHV) had an opportunity to talk about their difficulties and challenges they faced while working in a team. They also learned about the basic principles on how to run a well-coordinated team and work in the most efficient way.
Ms Han, the training adviser, said “as a VHVer, I wanted to give free English lessons to unprivileged children . However, due to my working schedule, I was not able to do this. I realized that VHVers had a desire for improving their skills. Although I cannot teach English to the kids, I can spend weekends teaching VHVers skills as well as sharing the experiences which I have gained in professional environment. I hope that they will learn something from my talks”.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Quynh-a VHVer said: “Even though I work in groups a lot at University and at work, I am not a good team player. I’ve learned a lot from Ms Han’s talks and I will apply what I’ve learned in practice, in order to connect with all of my teammates and achieve the best outcome.”
As well as sharing experiences and learning the skills, these training sessions were also the opportunity for VHV members to get to know individuals and build good relationship.
