There was a skill training day about journalism for VHV members at Y24 Cafe – 6 Bui Dinh Tuy, Binh Thanh district on Sunday, October 25th. Founder Vo My Linh, who has accumulated experiences working for some famous newsparpers like Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien, Mot va Cuoc Song (Trend and Life magazine), and The gioi Van hoa (Culture World magazine), was sharing with all VHV members the way to be a professional journalist and how to get more views for their articles.
The members had the opportunity to listen to Linh’s experiences drawn out for many years of her journalism career. They also discussed and worked in groups to acknowledge and learn how to write a simple effective piece of article.

Founder My Linh Vo was sharing: How to distinguish and select valuable information in clutter of information.
Before going to this class, I was afraid to write something that I was not familiar with, although I had ideas. Today’s session gave me a motivation, and I realized that it is not too difficult to write and express the idea as I thought.” Tuong Vi, a volunteer of Volunteer House Vietnam teaching English in District 5, excitedly shared.
“After this training I feel more confident in writing and expressing my own thoughts.”, She shared.
Training Journalism skill is one activity in series of VHV’s project in order to improve skills for the volunteers, and encourage them to express their thought in written language confidently. What is more, VHV’s members have an opportunity to interact with others. That would cement the relationships among members.
