After taking off more than 3 weeks of New Year holiday, the classes in District 5 welcomed the two foreign volunteers: Chandara, 23 years old come from India, and James- 22 years old from Canada. Currently, they are living in VHV’s host and teaching children on Monday, and Friday every week.

Despite having a long time off for Luna New Year, the students in District 5 participated in classes fully and enthusiastically during the first week. For example, Jack is playful and active; Harry is always hard studying and raising her hand. Luna the youngest student, is still having trouble with some pronunciations, and other student like: July, April, Lucy, Kenvil, Anna, Tom, Shadia, etc Whose English name are picked up in the class.

This week, the students was greeting, sharing their favorite, and interesting things of Tet’s Holiday in English each other. Especially, the children were introduced and talked to the two foreign volunteer. They had a lot of fun when joining the activities. The atmosphere of the class became more animated and joyful. In order to prepare and take part in “Culture Day 2016” event, which VHV first held in Ho Chi Minh City, and the children will be presenting the topic: Introduce to Holand Dutch. Chandara and Jamie will help the children find out, look up the vocabularies and check their pronunciations about Holand Dutch topic in English such as nation flag, wind-mill, Tulip. Children will combine these words into the pictures, which they will draw, and present Holand to everyone in the Culture Day.

By the next lessons, the two foreign volunteers continue to teach in the District 7. With the new school year, the student of the district 7 Class like the District 5 Class are also attending in class fully. Chandara and Jamie are used to teaching method, so they have some exciting games and activities to play with children and connect them together in the class.

During the lesson, they not only taught  the English songs with clapping hand of sound, but also the English stories and smiling resound in the class constantly.
